26 diseases that increased right along side the popularity and usage of GMO’

I live in the land of Monsanto, in fact when I moved to St. Louis I was impressed with the Monsanto compound and their seemingly friendly worker benefits policy. I’d not heard a lot about GMO’s until I moved to St. Louis and now that I know. I can’t turn my head and ignore the signs that are so very clear.

Recently on a GMO Summit I heard a speaker talk about the diseases that correlated to the upward trends of GMO usage and wanted to share with you the research I have found to link GMO’s to the 26 diseases listed below.

As with anything on the Internet or our world we can always find someone to agree with us no matter what our stand is and the same with GMO’s. Some say they benefit us, some say they don’t and others (including myself) feel they have absolutely compromised our food chain.

So, if you are like me and had no idea what GMO’s are here is a very fast summary.

A GMO (genetically modified organism) is the result of a laboratory process of taking genes from one species and inserting them into another in an attempt to obtain a desired trait or characteristic, hence they are also known as transgenic organisms. This process may be called either Genetic Engineering (GE) or Genetic Modification (GM); they are one and the same.

I’ve been doing a lot of studying and research lately on a few topics and what I have come to determine in my own life is: If I can find several people not associated with each other giving me the same facts, then I settle in to the idea it may indeed be a fact. I also research what is being said and what reports are used because, as stated above, the internet has many opinions and very few are right.

I’ve heard 30 diseases however I seem to come up with 26, maybe 27 if you separate Urinary and bladder cancers.


So here is the list, an interesting list one without it’s controversy’s as well as it’s correlations. That being said:

That’s a breathtaking (or breath taking away) list and after leaving the GMO Summit it became even more imperative for me to watch what I eat. I thought about where I live, and I actually live on top of a hill surrounded by farms that plant corn and soy. I am very sure that the spray I see them spray early in the spring is nothing more then Glyphosate. I drive by those fields just about every day and if I don’t drive past them I am pretty sure the wind blows my direction now and again.   It’s devastating.
Glyphosate is the main ingredient in Round Up, Round up is a main product of Monsanto.

Glyphosate was introduced into our world in 1974, but the only data available is from 1990.

Glyphosate disrupts the ability for animals and humans to detoxify xenobiotics. This means that when we are exposed to the chemicals in our food or like when I drive through the fields it could cause my body to not detoxify the chemicals and thus causing damage to my body and organs that would not happen if I would be able to detoxify the chemicals and carcinogens being used.


Does it make sense to you? It’s a lot to take in and almost seems like a conspiracy theory, but it’s not, it’s about greed, power and a company that does not care about the welfare of the human race.


If you take glyphosate, for example, it was introduced in 1974 and its use is accelerating at an alarming rate. Over the decades, strong scientific evidence has shown how glyphosate disrupts the endocrine system and the balance of gut bacteria, that it damages DNA and encourages cell mutations that can lead to cancer.


So, until we are able to ban all GMO crops completely, add these 9 GMO foods to your GMO foods list so you can more easily avoid them.


  • Corn
  • Soybeans
  • Canola
  • Cottonseed
  • Sugar Beets
  • Most Hawaiian Papaya
  • Some Zucchini and Yellow Squash
  • Sugar Derived from GMO Sugar Beets
  • Dairy is additionally likely to be GMO unless it is labeled No rBGH, rBST, or artificial hormones.


How to Avoid GMO Food

 The following are my top recommendations for keeping GMO foods out of your body:


  • Avoid all foods with corn, canola, and soy.
  • Look for and buy foods that are labeled GMO free.
  • Shop for organic foods. (By law they must contain less than 5% GM Products.)
  • Shop at your local farmers market or plant your own garden.
  • Read and stay informed on natural health websites


Follow these steps and you can be GMO free and help spread the word about the dangers of GMO’s. It is my hope that sometime soon we will see GMO’s labeled or even better–banned altogether.
