REVIEW

Brewed

  • A dark liquor with a brown hue.  Don’t let the dark color fool you into thinking this tea is too strong.  The right blend of teas and spices makes this tea dark but mellow.

Scent

  • A chai always reminds me of a holiday morning.  Its brisk yet adds just the right amount of sweetness to remind you of the baked goodness awaiting you.  Brewing a cup of chai tea will wake up your senses, adding spice to it makes that wake up even sweeter.

Flavor

  • This chai has a bit of spice to it.  First you will taste the wonder of cinnamon and then as the tea begins to settle the tea will surprise you with a spicy twist.  It will warm your mouth and open up your sinuses.   It’s will open your eyes and wait you up, gently not suddenly.

Sentiments

  • This is a stronger tea with a bite to it. Spicy Chai is my first thought. The ginger in this tea really adds a bit of spice to it and really warms it up. Once the tea settles you can taste a bit of the cinnamon following the spicier tea. The liquor to this tea is a darker brown. This is a stronger tea and a wake up tea, which fits right into my schedule. I love that the tea is a good mix of all ingredients, such a nice blend.

What Adagio Says About Their Tea

Our Masala Chai tea blend combines premium Ceylon black tea with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger. In Indian culture, ‘Masala’ means ‘a blend of spices’, and ‘chai’ simply means ‘tea.’ So, Masala Chai is literally ‘spiced tea’. Our interpretation tries to stay true to its definition thanks to a warm and inviting fragrance, zesty flavor (without being too hot or spicy) and invigorating, aromatic finish.
