The Scent or Aroma:

Ahhh chai, some of them smell the same but most do not taste the same, this tea is reminiscent of times gone by.

This is not a sweet tea and maybe that is why I thought it would go well with chocolate or even a melted piece of chocolate with it? Just a suggestion. It’s a full bodied tea with a very very slight bitterness and a strong tea with a bit of a bite. Spicy kick with a darker liquor.

Interesting Highlights:

I love coconut and this tea really gave me a few surprises.

Grand Pouchong Tea

I love coconut and thought this tea would be overpowering with it when I smelled it but it’s not! It’s a delicious light flavor or coconut that you search for and find with each sip, it’s refreshing lightly brewed tea with a light liquor and fresh scent. There is a bit of a nutty note and a smooth tea.

Strong tea that has many familiar flavors and scents going on. It always amazes me the flavors you can detect in a single origin tea and how amazing is that with a single leaf from a single area that can taste to vivid!

Company highlights, notes and more:

People want to drink teas that are in their natural state. They want to know that what they are drinking is as close as possible to plucking a tea leaf from a bush, making the tea and drinking it. People don’t want any chemicals, genetic modifications, artificial flavors or hidden toxins because tea is not supposed to have those things in them. Everything that is good about tea comes from nature, it is only recently that companies have been manipulating this and damaging the health and wellbeing of tea drinkers. This has to stop, and even though we are small we plan on doing something about it.

No “Natural” or Artificial Flavors

You won’t find and flavorings (natural or artificial) in our teas. Tea is supposed to be natural, so why introduce something that is made in a lab? We think that is silly and that is why we only use real ingredients. Golden Moon Tea is the only loose tea company that refuses to use these flavor sprays in our teas. The result is a better tasting, healthier and improved tea blend that your taste buds and body will love.

No Plastic Coated Teabags

Here is a little dirty secret that a lot of tea companies are trying to hide. All teabags use plastic to make sure the paper or hemp doesn’t dissolve. Even those fancy pyramid teabags. This is a big deal because plastic has been shown to leach chemicals when placed in boiling water (like when you make tea). That’s why we will no longer use any teabags whatsoever. After all, why take something as pure as tea and wrap it in something toxic
