Prior to brew: I love the first scent of a new tea, the experience and the way it budges your memory as to the scent it is. I take several “sniffs” of a tea and often close my eyes to really zone into the scent. This tea has a lovely floral background with a vegetal surrounding. It’s a sweet floral scent.
Brewed: Once brewed this tea is a mild yet golden yellow hue. Very pastel.
Scent: It’s a strong tea flavor of the oolong which is tightly rolled and looks lovely in it’s presentation once brewed. There is just a hint of Jasmine.
Flavor: This tea is first sip bitter and on second sip the strength of the Oolong makes it’s appearance. There is a hint of Jasmine or floral in the background.
Sentiments: Oolongs are a beautiful tea to experience and are more of a green or vegetal flavor however paired with a good citrus or floral such as this one with the Jasmine give it just the right balance of green and floral, a nice but strong balance of a tea.
My Tea Vault score values of 1-10 (10 being the best): “7”.
