Tea Company Comments taken from their webpage:

Anna Marie’s started in 1994 by our family in Historic Downtown Liberty, Missouri. Our family’s love for tea has taken us down many roads.   Monthly Themed Tea Parties and Private Tea Parties are hosted in Al & Brenda’s 1913 historical Liberty home. We simply love to drink good premium tea and really enjoy watching others relax & connect over their tea cups at our tea parties. Most of our hobbies include drinking tea, spending time with our family & tea friends, and caring for our community.

We continually search for the finest quality premium teas from around the world and seek continued tea education to provide the most up to date knowledge of the health benefits as well as the FUN of enjoying the tea drinking life style.

Personally:

I love a company with personality and this store has it, even with the pictures of TEAm members on the store page and the fact that they donate their time to help a local organization that helps provide much needed assistance to homeless families in their community. Check out their webpage for more information and maybe you can get involved as well.

REVIEW

From Anna Tea Shop: Genmaicha is a unique mixture of bancha green tea from Japan mixed with small kernels of popped corn and toasted hulled rice kernels. Wonderful rich flavor. Healthy Benefit: Studies show 4-10 cups of green tea per day provides the dosage of antioxidants to produce effective health benefits.

Prior to brew: You are not going to smell many green teas that do not have a vegetal scent to them what happens when you brew them is where the magic lies.

Brewed: Light Green Liquor

Scent: Wait, what? Popcorn, yes it has the scent of burnt popcorn.

Flavor: Very light tea with the taste of a toasted or roasted popcorn kernel.

Sentiments: This tea made me laugh out loud, no really it did. I thought popcorn (remember I do not look at ingredients until after I review a tea) yes, popcorn at first I felt it was burnt then looking to see the toasted rice pieces it was a great combination of the two to produce a roasted popcorn flavor. I loved it, it’s unique and genuinely a fun tea.

My Tea Vault score values of 1-10 (10 being the best): “9.

Till next sip
