Personally:

I love tea and that’s not an understatement! I love new and original and after tasting so many teas there is a line that is drawn between good, great and inspiring. I love inspiring teas, they have to be natural and they have to taste good, represent their name and taste like it. There is nothing wrong with a hearty tea as well with abundance of ingredients. TasTea introduces a fine line of unique teas that are not just thrown together but you can see the thought process that went into make the blends. I appreciate that and I think you will as well.

REVIEW

Prior to brew: I may be taking this section out because the prior to brew scent is and can be very mis-leading and one should never buy or disregard a tea according to the scent prior to brewing. You can just look at this tea and know it’s going to be fruity. There are big pieces of apple and elderberries along with whole star anise, this tea means some serious business.

Brewed: Once brewed this tea is that beautiful red color.

Scent: The scent of this tea is very much like red hot candy and what I mean is cinnamon, I had my son smell it and he said “fireball”, I laughed because to his generation anything cinnamon is now related to fireball. So cinnamon it is as the leading scent of this tea.

Flavor: Believe it or not cinnamon is not the leading flavor, Apple is and that would be because of the brewing and those Apple pieces in the tea are now allowing their flavor to enter the mix. The cinnamon takes a back seat to the Apple and there is a slight sour/sweet battle going on.

Sentiments: This is such a hearty serious tea with it’s big pieces of ingredients and healthy alternatives added by the way of elderberries and whole star anise. The flavor is very significant of the name and will be pleasing tea after dinner and before dessert.

My Tea Vault score values of 1-10 (10 being the best): “7”.

Till next Tea….
