Recently I was introduced to Firebelly tea. The name alone is intriguing and you’ll be surprised to know who is behind the label. I was. But we will get to that later.

Presentation is important and Firebelly puts on a show.
The display of Firebelly teas is first class. Each tea or tea set is contained in a beautiful box, color-coordinated. Inside the box are packets of your tea. Loose-leaf with an explanation of the biodegradable packets the tea is in. They last a year. I like the fact that these can be easily composted. My box contained a very upscale infuser, that’s design matches both Firebelly teapots. Very classic design that will look great on every counter. Simple elegance.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is not difficult on their site, it’s very upfront. There are several ways to buy the teas:
Iced – Simple and easy to use, brew overnight in the refrigerator, and enjoy cups of cold iced tea all day long.
Sampler – A great way to sample many teas in smaller amounts to decide your favorites. Less waste and greater variety to find your favorites.
Bundles – Great for gifts. Wanting to complete everything in one swift purchase, then bundles are the way to go.
Subscription – Pick your tea and the times you want to receive it. Want to change your subscription? Easily done.

You also have to consider the accessories which in my opinion are very classy and classic, they won’t go out of style and will go with any decor. They are classic with an Asian-inspired design.

What I love about Firebelly Tea
Very impressed with the display and presentation. If they care that much about presentation, what about the tea?
The first tea was the Champion, a CTC tea from India. It is a classic It’s strong but not overpowering. It’s a morning tea but hey, I drank it all day long.
I’m in love with sustainable packaging and organic certification. For me, organic is the way to go. No chemicals, no pesticides, no junk.

What needs improvement
I never like to say there is nothing that needs improvement. There can always be improvements. Firebelly tea comes near close to covering all the bases.
There is a lot of experience behind Firebelly tea. The former owner of Davids’s tea has now created Firebelly. He’s taken years of experience and created a dream team of teas and accessories.
Could Firebelly improve, of course? I believe soon you will be seeing more teas, more options, and yes, of course, more accessories. But keeping things to scale may be a better option. Offering quality products and not just filling in the blanks to have more options. Firebelly tea seems to stay the course with top-quality tea and products.
Packaging
I don’t know about you but I do not need one more tea canister. I have certain companies I order from that I ask not to send me the container, for me, it’s a waste. Now those starting out in tea, treasure the tea canisters. Firebelly has taken away the tea canister and replaced it with conscientious packaging. Recyclable and responsbile. I love it. I appreciate the fact that there is near-zero waste. The tea can benefit the earth, the cardboard can be recycled and the packaging is compostable. It’s a win for us and the environment.
