The Best Morning Tea Is the Happiest Tea I Know

Good Morning world! What’s your morning routine? Mine is to put the kettle on, boil the water and create a perfect cup of morning tea.

The best morning tea will wake you.  But you don’t want to be THAT awake.  Tea is a slow awakening process, it’s peaceful.

There are some mornings you need to wake up. Other mornings you want to slowly greet the morning hours. Whatever you need tea will be there for your morning tea needs. So grab a cup and say good morning tea, let’s do this day!

Who needs a morning tea?

I work a swing shift (3 months nights, 3 months days) So my mornings are sometimes my nights. My morning tea can range from crazy caffeinated to barely any caffeine. I need a morning tea, even at 2 am.

What is a morning tea?

Morning tea for most is something that contains caffeine. For others, caffeine cannot be tolerated, in the morning or most times. So, what’s in your cup in the morning? The tea you want and/or the tea you need. That’s the perfect morning tea.

So what makes a good morning tea?

Simply, it’s the tea you want to drink. Because you want to drink it does not make it a good morning tea. I’ve drunk a few teas in the morning that completely upset my stomach and my morning. Is there a science to it? Maybe. But there is some common sense to a good morning tea.

If you are a coffee drinker and looking for a calmer way to caffeinate try black tea. Black tea will give you the caffeine you need/want without those morning jitters you get from coffee. You can even add milk to your morning cup of tea and give it that more realistic version of coffee.

Maybe you are not into black tea and have no coffee habit to break. There are plenty of black tea varieties as well as teas. Don’t want tea? You can have a tisane. A tisane is an herbal tea with no actual tea or caffeine.

The benefits of morning tea

What’s your morning routine? What’s your favorite morning beverage? If it’s not tea it should be and I’m here to tell you why. Here are some health benefits to making tea your first-morning sip of the day.

Combining your morning tea with milk gives you some added benefits. Some of which we will discuss below:

Heart Attack Risk – By drinking tea in the morning. Those first sips of tea can help remove plaque from the arteries and veins. Removing that plaque helps to reduce the fast congestion in the heart. Heart conditions such as high cholesterol, high/low blood pressure, and other heart ailments are deterred,

Cancer – Tea is high in antioxidants. These antioxidants help boost immunity. They also help fight against the bad cellular activity. Having morning tea can help battle breast, colon, prostate, ovarian, lung, skin, esophagus, liver, pancreas, colon, and stomach cancers. Whew, that’s a mouthful.

Hydrating – Drinking tea in the morning helps start the body off right. The body starts to hydrate over that cup of tea. The normal intake of tea helps hydrate the body in the morning and keeps working to hydrate all day long.

Tooth Decay – If you are like me, visiting the dentist is not my favorite thing to do. It’s not even in my top 10. Drinking tea helps keep plaque off the teeth. No plaque, fewer cavities. Bad breath? Added benefits tea helps fight tooth decay and the bad breath associated with it.

Memory – How many lists do you write in a day? Me, many. But here is the thing, even minus all the list writing a lot of us have a lot of our minds. Drinking that morning tea helps wake us up and the brain. It’s like a mental recharge in a cup.

Conclusion

The best morning tea? There are a lot of factors to choose from. But the best morning tea is the tea you choose and the tea that works. Not always the same. You want a tea that will wake you up, not shake you up. A morning tea that is full of all the nutrients you will need to start your day.

The last thing you want to consider is energy, we drink that morning beverage as a call to motivate us. Make sure the morning tea you choose is the tea that will serve the best purpose in your life.

One more thing. Variety never hurt anyone, mix it up and enjoy that morning cup of tea.
