TEA SELECTION: ORGANIC JASMINE SILVER NEEDLE

Interesting Highlights:

The liquor of this tea is very light, almost clear however the flavor is strong, not overpowering but intense.

Ingredients:

Silver Needle White Tea

Review:

When you first open the pouch the jasmine tea really seeps out into the air, it’s a beautiful floral bouquet. The tea itself is not bitter and no aftertaste. The tea is smooth and the jasmine scent is really lovely. The tea is a white tea that has been infused several times with Jasmine flowers giving it the stringers flavor or jasmine I’ve yet seen in this type of tea.

Cost: $11.70 / 50 gram foil bag

Price may vary according to the amount purchased.

Beautiful tea to look at and to taste.

Review:

This tea has that familiar “green” flavor that resembles a pea flavor with a nutty yet vegetal flavor. This tea has a slight perfume flavor and aftertaste. The tea is smooth with no bitterness, lovely in this reviewers cup!

TEA SELECTION: MT. WUDONG MI LAN XIANG

Interesting Highlights:

I dubbed this tea “different” with a mint mulchy earthy scent and yes mulchy is now a word.

Ingredients:

Dancing tea roasted the tradition charcoal way

Review:

Despite the scent of this tea being stronger and vegetal the liquor is a light beautiful amber. The taste gives us a tangy minty sweet flavor, not an overpowering sweetness but just the sense of honey all around your mouth. It’s different in the aspect of the tangy – sweet – mint flavor you get in every sip, enjoyable for sure.

Cost: $10.60 / 50 gram foil bag

Price may vary according to the amount purchased.

TEA SELECTION: ORGANIC WHITE PEONY

Interesting Highlights:

This is not an herbal tea but actually a white tea given it’s name by the way the leaves form a shape of the peony flower after brewing.

Ingredients:

White tea

Review:

This tea reminded me of a Victorian Romantic tea to share on a date. Can’t believe a tea can make you think like that? Try this tea. Very dainty light scented and floral. Smooth from first sip to last.

Cost: $9.40 / 50 grams foil bag

Interesting Highlights:

Mellow and floral scent not overpowering but strong enough to get your attention and make you smile when you open the bag

Ingredients:

Oolong Tea

Review:

Delightful floral scent and a somewhat jasmine flavor. Mild with a delightful aftertaste that makes you want to revisit the tea over and over again. The liquor is light and once cooled (I tried it iced as well gives a delightful sweet floral taste).

TEA SELECTION: JIN MAEO HOU

Interesting Highlights:

I’m actually sipping on this as an iced tea right now, it’s very interesting and not really something I’d suggest iced however, it’s interesting enough for me to enjoy while working.

Ingredients:

Black Tea (Golden Monkey)

Review:

This tea reminded me of a Pekoe in it’s scent but it is anything but. Once brewed this tea takes on a nutty strong woody flavor. It’s got a slight bitterness which fits well with the nutty flavor. Lovely amber brew and it’s a lovely tea to have at dinner time or after dinner to just sit and sip and talk about the day.

Cost: $8.50 / 50 gram foil bag

Price may vary according to the amount purchased.

SPECIAL NOTE:

I’m serious about checking out this store and it’s Tea wares and accessories, they have a lovely selection of gaiwan and cups as well. There is even a pu er cake stand which is unique to me.
